The WOAMTEC Foundation, 2016 Courage to Dream Youth Summit is in the planning stages. It is our goal, this event will bring all the young adults ages 16-23 in Orange, Osceola, and Seminole counties Foster Care system together to help empower them with the Courage to Dream and Break the cycle of victimization. It is our vision to start with kids in Central Florida and then hold a Summit in each city we have a WOAMTEC CHAPTER.

 

As you may know, these children have been abused, neglected, and abandoned due to no fault of their own and we need your help to let them know, the community cares about them and they have the choice to make tomorrow a better day.

 

This is what we will need……

  • Silent Auction item donations, large or small

  • For every $30 donated, we can invite another child to attend (Get a 2015 tax deduction NOW!)

  • Giveaways to help motivate them to attend- PRIZES! Gift Cards, Bikes, etc.

  • Smaller Giveaways to go into their backpacks (promotional items teens/young adults would like)

  • Additional Celebrity appearances to stop in and say a few words of encouragement or send an inspirational video to play in between speakers

  • Volunteers, Mentors, and Community Partners

  • Most of these young adults do not have transportation- bus vouchers would be very much appreciated to give away.

 

 

This is what the WOAMTEC FOUNDATION has secured so far….

  • 500 T-shirts and Backpacks for all attending

Goals and Vision:

 

The Courage to Dream Youth Summit is a WOAMTEC FOUNDATION event, doing it in collaboration with the lead agencies and local supporters in each community we hold the event in. It is our goal to build this to a National event occurring in all the communities WOAMTEC currently exists.

 

WOAMTEC Foundation will handle all event logistics, registration, volunteers, and venue details and requirements.
