What is the Youth Summit?

The Youth Summit is a daylong event for young adults aging out of Foster Care (15-23) with the desire to have the Courage to Dream and the commitment to make it a reality!. You will be involved in activities that will expand your horizons and empower you to be leaders. We will have eight short, interactive classes that will be age appropriate in which for you to participate. In the evening, we will finish off the evening with an official Courage to Dream graduation ceremony.

Here what some of the attendees had to say about the 2015 Youth Summit!

“I personally want to thank you for an awesome and empowering day. From the guest speakers, breakout sessions, music, dancing, prizes and everything you put into this most self-encouraging day.  I can’t thank you enough for the young men from Orange Youth Academy. They were delighted to be there and really brought back a powerful message to the rest of the young men here at the program.  I look forward to sending you their responses in a few days. Once again, thank you and continue to have the Courage to Dream.”

Debra Polite, Orange Youth Academy

“I enjoyed the table sessions the most. Overall the event was very nice and I would encourage the children in our care to continue to attend. “ Gloria Esteban, House Mom

"I loved the ideas about boundaries and how to keep strong the most. There is nothing I would change. I think the event was awesome and there is nothing I would improve. All I have to say is I LOVED it. Thank you.“  Anatasia, Foster Youth

“Workshops made things more personal and genuine. I am a former foster youth and enjoyed the motivating and refreshing speakers. Thank you for giving us the Courage to Dream!”

Eveline, Former Foster Youth

“This was an awesome, life changing event. I can’t wait till the next one!”  Vaneisha, Foster Youth
